SFC DONALD BUSWELL received the Purple Heart for injuries sustained on the battlefields of Iraq.

FT. SAM HOUSTON, Texas — Forty-one-year-old Sergeant First Class Donald Buswell is a hero. Having served over 19 years in the United States Army, Buswell has seen a lot of terrain. On April 15, 2004, he was injured in a rocket attack while serving a tour in Iraq. For this, SFC Buswell was given a Purple Heart. And until recently, Buswell was an Intelligence Analyst stationed at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

I received a number of intelligent responses from readers of my August 14 column, “Gullible Americans,” The letters deserve a reply. Moreover, some contain important points that should be shared with a wider audience. Pundits such as myself are not the only people who have interesting things to say. Considering the number of letters and the time it would require to respond individually, I am replying instead in this column.

The buzz throughout the Internet is that a sizable number of those who do not buy the “official 9/11 story” that’s been shoveled to America for the past five years are coming en masse to Washington, DC in September. Apparently, many who have done careful research regarding the disturbing events that took the lives of nearly 2,800 have a great deal of information to share.

As anti-war activists from “peace and social justice” groups no doubt already know, September 5 through 21 are the dates anti-war activists, humanitarians, and other progressives will travel to the nation’s capital to participate in what’s being termed “Camp Democracy”. Similarly, activists calling for the truth about 9/11 are urging all others who doubt the “official story” to come to Washington, DC during the same days that Camp Democracy will be converging upon the National Mall.

According to Paul Craig Roberts (Treasury Secretary under Reagan), GWB has the distinction of creating more US Debt than ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS COMBINED (and that was BEFORE the 2004 election!)

Please consider his experience if deciding to vote Republican in the 2006 Midterm.

In the latest limited 911 hang with the release of a book by Thomas Keane and Lee Hamilton "Without Precedence." The Mass Media is slowly starting to see how much they can push.

Whenever someone projects an adolescent scowl as part of their public image, all of your alarms should go off. What is the purpose of the scowl? Is it meant to befriend? Endear the reader? Obviously not. One possible use/purpose is to intimidate the would-be debater. As if to say, "I'm invulnerable!" Fat chance. There are lots of explanations for Crittenden's scowl "advertisement" but the undercurrent clearly involves motives other than just telling the truth. This latter point is KEY. Our job is multi-fold including an understanding of this primitive primate behavior.
